My first memory of cars is when I was 6 years old, playing a game with my
Grandpa pointing out the makes of passing cars. He used to take me along to my
Uncle Dave's used car lot, where I would wander around studying the looks of
all the different cars. I listened intently as Grandpa, Uncle Dave and other
regulars passed the hours talking about cars.
When I was old enough to get a job, I worked at a service station, pumping gas,
back when "full service" was the norm. I was in my element, getting
the chance to see up close all the makes and models of vehicles, as I washed
the windows and checked the oil.
In 1987 an important event occurred in my life. That was the year I bought my
first new car, a 1987 Acura Integra LS. Before doing this, though, I read
everything I could get my hands on about how to purchase or lease new vehicles.
By the time I walked into the showroom, I was confident in my choice of
vehicle, as well as comfortable with the dealer's system of selling cars. (I
recently leased my 21st new car.) I also purchased many used vehicles for a
former employer and loved helping my friends purchase cars.
Over the years I noticed that there was a need for a service that handled all
